How to design a sync-first database
Nov 12 12:20 - 12:40
Before we founded Convex we promised ourselves we'd never build a database again. Then we realized that we couldn't achieve our dream of full end-to-end sync without building it natively into the db. I'll talk about why I think end-to-end sync is the holy grail app development primitive and how we designed our query language, sync protocol, and database itself to support this primitive.
